A push button starts the 2027 Kia Seltos Hybrid, and a shift-by-wire stalk on the steering column selects the gear. A 1.6-liter hybrid four-cylinder with gasoline direct injection teams with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox, a combination Kia engineered with both performance and efficiency in mind. Standard paddle shifters let you pick gears yourself.

Every trim's Drive Mode Select covers Eco, Sport and MyDrive, and X-Line models add Snow. Those X-Line trims come with e-AWD for added power and on-demand all-wheel-drive traction, something Kia says is new to its hybrid SUVs. S and EX hybrids pair standard front-wheel drive, which Kia ties to better driving efficiency, with optional e-AWD.

From the driver's seat of the Kia Seltos Hybrid, the 12.3-inch touchscreen runs Apple CarPlay or Android Auto wirelessly, and a remote start button rides on the Smart Key fob. On an X-Line SX, the available X-Line Prestige Package adds a 12.3-inch instrument display and navigation, plus a 360-degree Surround View Monitor.

Passengers get their share. Bluetooth multi-connection links up to two devices at once. Four USB-C chargers, the rear pair built into the front seatbacks, and a wireless charging pad cover the cabin, while the available Prestige Package adds eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio.

Kia Seltos Hybrid buyers get plenty of standard help for town driving. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist can detect cars, pedestrians and cyclists, a real plus in a college town, and Safe Exit Warning, parking sensors on both bumpers and a rear-view camera come on every trim.

For long I-75 runs, an X-Line SX can add Highway Driving Assist and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve on top of the standard Smart Cruise Control, including Stop and Go, and Kia's lane-keeping and lane-following systems. Kia Seltos Hybrid S and EX models wear machined-finish 18-inch alloys, LED multi-focus reflector headlights and matte black lower door trim. The EX builds on that with a smart power liftgate and LED taillights, and it can add a panoramic sunroof with a power shade and gloss-black flush roof rails.

X-Line versions take a bolder approach, pairing gloss-black 19-inch alloys with LED wide projection headlights, LED fog lamps and Piano Black trim with dark gun metal accents on the bumpers and side sills. Their flush roof rails come standard, and the X-Line SX includes the panoramic sunroof.
