Every AWD version is rated for up to an EPA-estimated 280 miles, and the front-drive Light for up to an EPA-estimated 221 miles. Actual range will vary, Kia notes.

Front-drive trims produce 201 hp with 209 lb-ft, and Kia quotes 7.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph for the Light. Dual-motor e-AWD on the Wind, Land and GT-Line is rated at 261 hp and 284 lb-ft, good for a Kia-quoted 6.3 seconds, and Kia credits the 288-hp, 345-lb-ft GT with 5.4 seconds.

Plug the 2027 Kia EV3 into 240V, 11 kW Level 2 equipment at home and Kia estimates 7 hours for a 10-100% charge of the 81.4 kWh battery, or 5 hours 10 minutes for the Light. A dual-level 120V/240V portable charging cable is included with every trim.

The native NACS charging port sits up front on the passenger side. On 350 kW DC fast chargers, Kia estimates a 10-80% session takes as little as 29 minutes for the Light and 31 for every other trim. Plug & Charge works at participating stations with Kia Charge Pass and an active Kia Connect subscription.

Every 2027 Kia EV3 trim brings Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist plus Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist on the Light through GT-Line includes Pedestrian, Cyclist and Junction Turning detection, and the GT upgrades to Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2. Kia reminds drivers that these systems do not replace safe driving.

From the Land up, the camera and sensor suite expands with Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse, Parking Distance Warning on the front, rear and sides, Blind-Spot View Monitor and the 360° Surround View Monitor. The GT also adds Remote Smart Parking Assist and upgrades to Highway Driving Assist 2.

With the two-position floor at its lowest level, the 2027 Kia EV3 holds up to 26.1 cu ft behind the upright rear seats, then up to 56.5 cu ft once the seatbacks fold flat. Raise the floor and Kia lists 21.5 and 51.9 cu ft; the small front trunk adds 0.88 cu ft.

Woven cloth and dual-zone automatic climate control come on the Light. The Wind switches to SynTex and adds heated front seats, 10-way power seating for the driver and a wireless phone charger, the Land brings front-seat ventilation and driver memory, and the GT-Line and GT add a 10-way power passenger seat.
