The 2022 Kia Sorento is a spacious mid-size 4-door, 3-row crossover that seats up to seven. The standard vehicles feature gasoline engines, but there are electric and hybrid models available for purchase.

The standard engine in the first three trim levels is a 2.5L inline 4 cyl. producing 191 hp and rated at 24 mpg city and 29 mpg hwy. The top five trim levels have a 281 hp turbocharged 2. 5L inline 4 cyl., with 22 mpg city and 29 mpg hwy.

Both hybrid and PHEV use a 6-speed automatic transmission. The PHEV is AWD only, and its combined fuel efficiency is 79 MPGe, with a range of 32 miles on a charge.

Some standard safety equipment on all 2022 Sorentos includes lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane following assist, and forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection.
