Serving Gainesville, FL

The Kia K5 and the Kia Stinger are both competitive sedans offered by the ever-popular automaker. While the Kia Stinger has a sporty element to its appearance, the Kia K5 makes its debut for the first time in 2021. The Kia K5 is a new model from Kia, but it follows in the footsteps of the Kia Optima. The K5 is designed to take the Optima's place as Kia's flagship midsize sedan. It does just that by offering a nice assortment of standard features, exceptional power, and good overall value. The Kia Stinger, in contrast, is designed to be a slightly more athletic vehicle. The Stinger gets just a few updates for 2020, including some different styling elements among the various trims. Adaptive headlights are added too, and it comes with more safety aids than before.

Performance

There are two engines available for the 2021 Kia K5, which vary depending on your preferred trim level. Both engines offer plenty of power but have slightly different drivetrain configurations. Minimally, you'll have a power output that reaches 180 horsepower with the base K5 engine. A second engine on the GT trim produces nearly 300 horsepower. This turbocharged engine is paired to an eight-speed transmission. The Stinger has a base turbo engine capable of 255 horsepower. Its second, stronger engine is a 3.3L V6 that creates 365 horsepower and over 375 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed transmission is standard for both engines.

Appearance

The 2021 K5 is available in a variety of dazzling and appealing paint colors. It comes standard with bold LED headlights for premium visibility. Unique exterior accents are offered on the GT-Line, which is a sporty variant. The GT-Line also gets fog lights and special 18-inch wheels. A panoramic sunroof is added to the EX. The 2020 Kia Stinger comes with 18-inch wheels. The second GT trim upgrades to 19-inch wheels. The top trim, called the GT2, adds a power-operated trunk.

Features

Wireless smartphone pairing, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are standard on both the 2021 Kia K5 and the 2020 Kia Stinger. The K5 also gets cloth seats and an eight-inch display screen.
